How long have you worked at Admiral?
I started in October, 2017.
Describe what you do.
As a Trainer, I run new inductions and provide ongoing training and support across the department. I work closely with many new employees during their first few months here at Admiral!
What attracted you to Admiral?
The benefits and vacation were what originally attracted me to the company. After I saw the job listed online I read up on the company and saw that they were one of the best places to work in Canada; that was a huge selling point for me. Now that I’ve been working here for over six months I can see why we are one of the best places to work!
What’s your greatest success to date at Admiral?
My greatest success at Admiral has been becoming a Trainer. I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity early on to be part of the Training Development Program and work with new training classes. I made it clear early on that I wanted to work towards becoming a Trainer and am happy to say I reached my goal!
What kind of person succeeds in your role?
To succeed in my role you need to be organized but ready for the plan to change at any time. Being able to think on your feet is vital! Working with new training classes it’s very important to be comfortable up in front of a group and open to meeting a lot of new people. If you don’t like being in front of groups it’s not a problem though, we have plenty of different roles and opportunities here!
