Customer Loyalty Outcomes

How long have you worked at Admiral?

Since May 4, 2015

Describe what you do.

I am the Compliance SCR for Halifax Renewals. Like other SCRs, I am responsible for motivating and driving performance on my team through feedback, coaching and staff development. My team is responsible for monthly call monitoring for external regulatory compliance, internal procedure compliance and quality standards. Along with ensuring all deadlines and targets are being achieved, I am also a subject matter expert in all areas of regulatory compliance and act as a referral point for all levels of staff within the entire Renewals department.

What attracted you to Admiral?

When I was looking for a change in career I considered all of the ‘little things’ like benefits, vacation time and of course, free parking! I was unsure at first as I didn’t want to work for a ‘call centre’, but Admiral seemed to check all of my boxes. I was sold when I came in for my first meet and greet; the entire atmosphere of the office was nothing like I’ve seen before. Everyone was so friendly and kind – they truly looked like they wanted to be here. I quickly learned Admiral is much more than a call centre and I couldn’t have made a better choice!

What's your greatest success to date at Admiral?

My greatest successes to date have been winning the ‘Best Attitude’ award, two years in a row, at our yearly awards gala, and, getting to attend the Top 10 awards gala in Cardiff and bring home an award for the department! To be recognized for my attitude and stand out amongst some very tough competition is such an amazing feeling. Being able to bring home an award for our department's hard work and dedication was the icing on the cake!

What kind of person succeeds in your role?

Someone who is adaptable to change and excellent at prioritizing and multi-tasking. Admiral in general is a culture of change, the world of compliance is no different. In order to be successful you need to be able to embrace change quickly and positively. You also need to be able to jump from one task to another without losing view of your end goals.
