I've been with the company since May, 2013.
Describe what you do.
New Business Manager – responsible for overseeing and leading a team within the sales department. Offer mentorship to employees within said team and ensure they are performing to the best of their abilities.
What attracted you to Admiral?
Promotion from within. I’ve been a Customer Care Representative, Senior Care Representative and now a Team Manager. It's great to work for a company that places an emphasis on building future leaders in-house!
What’s your greatest success to date at Admiral?
Seeing the team I support winning the Innovators of the Year Award at Call Centre Nova Scotia Awards this year.
What kind of person succeeds in your role?
You need to be a person who can motivate and support others, but also know when to step back and let people learn and grow on their own accord. You need to be there to help people who are stumbling but also let them use their own legs to walk through the ins and outs of the role. This requires patience, tenacity but also the genuine love of helping others flourish in their careers at Admiral.
