How long have you worked at Admiral?
I joined Admiral on August 21, 2011.
Describe what you do.
I am a Senior Customer Assurance Executive. I help run a team of Complaint Executives in the Customer Assurance Department. My day is made up of answering referrals, coaching, feedback and motivation along with the administration duties that come with working in a small department. As we are a complaints department I help take complaints when our queue is high, as well as take them when they escalate. I also monitor complaints as they are completed to make sure we are giving a fair outcome to our customers, as Customers are the heart of everything we do!
What attracted you to Admiral?
I was originally introduced to Admiral by a friend who told me all the great things Admiral provided their employees; like benefits, shares and an amazing culture. I was immediately interested, as the flexibility in work/home life balance was a big attraction to me. Admiral knows how difficult the job can be, so they do everything they can to make sure you succeed and you are happy doing it.
What’s your greatest success to date at Admiral?
Being selected as part of the management to help start a new department in Halifax is my greatest success so far. To be involved in a new department and see it start from nothing to improve and grow and flourish is an amazing accomplishment. We are still learning and improving, which makes every win a great success.
What kind of person succeeds in your role?
To succeed in my role a person needs to have a positive disposition and be self-motivated, open-minded, flexible. It’s also extremely important to have excellent communication skills. The ability to adapt to an ever changing environment is probably the most helpful attribute because In a world where we constantly strive to improve, changes are essential!
